Hiring is so simple, just follow these easy steps!
Booking Your Outfit
Booking in advance is recommended if you are looking for something particular but otherwise you can call in on the week of your party and take the outfit there and then. Payment of the hire fee is required to secure a booking. For Weekend hire, generally collect Thursday, return Monday by 2pm. Midweek hire is collect the day before, return the day after. Extended hire periods are offered to schools, charities, drama groups or any other performances provided prior arrangement is made at time of booking.

Deposits
Deposits are charged as above, we do have one or two costumes that require a £50 deposit but I literally mean one or two! Your deposit is taken when the costume is collected and leaves the store. We can swipe a debit/credit/visa card (not electron) and the money does not leave your account provided the costume is returned in it’s original condition at the time we specify. On return of your costume the card swipe is shredded in your presence. Alternatively you can leave cash which is handed back to the person that returns the costume.
Terms & Conditions
At the time you pay your hire fee you enter an agreement with Top Hat to abide by our terms and conditions. If the agreement is broken, i.e. the costume cancelled, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. All bookings are final. Once costumes have left our possession they are the hirer’s responsibility until Top Hat receives them back. Late returns will be charged at a daily rate and may exceed the value of the deposit. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the costume is returned on time (to see when your costume is due to be returned, see “Booking Your Outfit” above). Any overdue amounts must be paid on return. We do take action against all non-returns. If you are unsure of any of the above, please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.
